A
flower show competition was held at P.A.U. Complex on 24th and 25th Feb.,
2000. Our School students won 4 prizes in Flower Arrangement competition
and 16 prizes in potted plant comp. Amrita Kapoor of IX-D and Ravneet Kaur
of VII-F got 2nd prize in Fresh Flower Arrangement, Prineet Kaur of VII-B
got 2nd prize in Dry flower Arrangement. Our school bagged mementos under
different categories of potted plants.

One
day Public Education program on Child rights and child protection in Punjab
under Indo-British project was held at Guru Nanak Public school, Sarabha
Nagar, Ludhiana on 27th April' 2000. The program was inaugurated by S.
Jagat Singh, M.D., G.S. Auto International Ltd. Dr. D.J. Singh, Deputy
Director, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur highlighted the aims of the project
in the morning session. Different games were held for the school Students,
Parents, Teachers and professionals to make them a part and parcel of the
program. Afternoon session was presided over by S. Sarabjit Singh, I.P.S.
Director General of Punjab Police who also gave away the prizes to the
winners of the Poster competitions. Mrs. Kulwant Virdi, Principal, Guru
Nanak Public school welcomed the guests and also expressed her views.

school, traffic awareness seminar was conducted in the Auditorium on 29th
April' 2000 by the Rotary club, Ldh. S.S. Bhatti, S.P. Traffic was the
Chief Guest. Dr. Harbans Singh gave a talk on the Traffic Awareness and
S. Hardial Singh (Retd.) I.G. Police read the rules and regulations. Mr.
Bhatti released the pamphlets and stickers which were distributed amongst
the std.. of X, XI, XII.

School, Jalandhar. Our senior team won I prize. The participants were Jaspreet
Chawla. Payal Kapoor, Amanpreet kaur. Jasmeet Kaur. Tanya, Ivneet Kaur,
Harpriya and Arshdeep Singh.

Undertakes Adventurous trip to Devban (U.P.) 53 students (36 boys and 17
girls) and three teachers of Guru Nanak Public School. Ludhiana undertook
an adventurous trip to Chakrata and Devban from 28th May'2000 to 2nd June'
2000 in the hills of Uttar Pradesh. The students participated in para-sailing
and kayaking at Dak-Pathar. From Chakrata. they trekked to Devban to a
height of 11000 feet. At Devban the students par-ticipated in Rappelling;
Rock climbing, Tent pitching and archery. There was also a cooking competition
between the boys and girls. The students also enjoyed the cool climate
of Missouri for two days and they very happily returned to Ludhiana on
2nd June' 2000. The adventurous sports were organized by Alfresco Sports,
Chandigarh under the able guidance of Brigadier Khullar and his team of
instructors.

Cadet
Gurdip Singh of Guru Nanak Public School has been adjudged as the Best
N.C.C. cadet of junior division N.C.C. of Ludhiana group for the year 1999-2000.
Seven N.C.C. cadets of Guru Nanak Public School had been awarded Director
General N.C.C. scholarship of Rs 3000/- each for the year 1999-2000. The
cadets who have won the scholarship and were honoured by Col. P. S. Bedi
are Cadet Puneet K.S. Mann, Cadet Japneet Singh, Cadet Amandeep Singh,
Cadet Simarjeet Singh, Cadet Jasjit Singh. Cadet Gurpreet Singh Virdi and
Cadet Ishinder Singh.

the 229 students who appeared for X class examination Miss Gurjeet Kaur
topped with an aggregate of 93.2% Marks. Harsimrat Kaur topped in science
with 92% Gurjeet Kaur topped in Maths getting 100% Gurjeet Kaur topped
in Social Studies with 94% marks. Parmeet Kaur topped in Punjabi with 92%
marks Dilnaz topped in English with 98% Marks.

Gian Training Competition was held from 28th June to 30th june' 2000 at
Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Sarabha Nagar in which Tavleen Singh won
a special prize in Shabad Gayan Competition. Arshdeep Singh and Prabhleen
Kaur won Ist Prize in Quiz. Arshdeep Singh got IInd Prize in Declamation
Contest and was also declared the "Best Compeer" among Boys.

2000 at Smt. Satya Devi Oswal Senior Secondary School, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana.
Puneet Kaur of X-B and Harroop Kaur of X-B got Ist position and a cash
prize of Rs. 150/- each and they went for state level.
Inter-School
Debate Competition was held at state level at Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh.
HarRoop Kaur of X-B was declared the Best speaker at state level
our school got the IInd position.

of class VIII-A which was in the form of a bag.

Bagga bagged the Ist prize and would represent Ludhiana at the National
Level to be held in Delhi in Jan., 2001 Sacred Heart Convent School won
